Laura Crow, our newest artist, started at Flesh in July of this year. She is an accomplished artist, self taught and prolific. Painting in both acrylics and oils her art is popular and sells fast. Large format paintings are her favorite. Tattooing, for about a year, she is learning fast and has had a good education as an apprentice for Steve Smith of Ace Tattoo in Ocean Beach, Ca. She has experience in a couple of San Diego shops: for about a year before coming to Flesh Skin Grafix Tattoo Inc., in Imperial Beach, Ca . She loves subject matter of organic shapes and anything to do with nature. She really enjoys creating custom pieces for her clients, her composition is outstanding and her tattooing is very good. Laura also loves working on complex fine line pieces. She is somewhat of a semi realist.

Laura was born in 1969 right here in San Diego, Ca. her family moved to South America when Laura was six years old and stayed there for ten years, she speaks fluent Spanish and is an accomplished Salsa Dancer as a result. She received her BA (Psychology) degree at San Diego State University. And has been known to psycho-analyze her former and present bosses to a very accurate conclusion. It is cool and doesn’t scare me, much. Laura has fit into the Flesh Family and is a very hard worker. She has already earned the coveted “Work Harder, Work Faster” tattoo. Also worn by such artists as Kahlil (of Tattoo City in San Francisco),Susan Kidder, Osh, Mike Martin, Fredico Leo(La Lupita Tattoo Studio, Argentina) to name a few.

We have had several calls lately from South America, a Madame Angelica has been trying to locate the “Black Bird” a former escort/ call girl that split from the nest late one night. There are rumors that the Black Bird is Laura Crow, Laura denies these accusations and we really can’t tell for sure if it is her in the grainy porn photos sent to us from South America. We love her anyhow and will never let them take her back: if it really is her in the photos. She is here for as long as she would like to stay.
